Gallant Enterprises is a custom-cut Sawmill in Maple Ridge looking to fill a full time Log Loader Operator/ Buckerman position.

We work a flex week schedule, 6am-3:30pm 5 days one week, 4 days second week.

Starting compensation is $25-32/hour, depending on experience. Benefits after 3 months.

​

Job Duties:

- Stacking and organizing log yard for log shipments.

- Pulling and bucking appropriate size logs for orders.

- Analyzing logs to determine grade and reduce waste.

- Log Loader and Bobcat operation.

- Planning for and organizing current and future log orders.

Requirements:

- Minimum 2+ years experience operating a Log Loader and chainsaw.

- Familiar with basic log grades.

- Able to differentiate between different species of wood (i.e. Fir and Cedar).

- Must have own reliable transportation; we are located 2km up a gravel road with no bus routes.

- Must be punctual, reliable and very organized as this is a key position in the company.

- Ready and willing to work outside in all weather conditions.

- Able to lift 50+ pounds.

- Able to work in a team environment that prioritizes safety and respect.
